Lindsay - This is my girl Kathryn after we both ran up a very steep hill to a water tower… Twice today!

Mom & Daughter Day!

This is Sheri and Angie, a beautiful Mom and Daughter that came and celebrated an early Mothers Day extravaganza with our SchlickArt Signature Luxury Pampering Photo/video Session.

They arrived on set very excited and full of anticipation for a fun filled girly pampering day. And that is exactly what they got!

We started the day by meeting them, getting to know them better and going through the wardrobe they had chosen for the shoot! We quickly chose some awesome outfits from their selection and got them into the hair and makeup chair.

While they were enjoying the fun and relaxing hair and makeup ritual provided by our fabulous hair and makeup artist Kathy Tengono; we supplied them with plenty of champagne and chocolates to indulge them even further. And we all got to chatting… And giggling… And laughing… And all in all enjoying a fabulous day!

Once the makeup was done and a little bit of the champagne had done its relaxing trick… We started capturing some amazing photos of the two of them.

There is so much love between this Mother and Daughter team, they are great friends and know how to cheer each other on! We had so much fun learning about this loving family dynamic, getting to know them better and laughing with them all day! It is shoots like this that make our jobs so easy! :)

Sheri and Angie, you were such a pleasure to photograph and video; and you both look so stunning and happy in all the photos. We hope you love the imagery as much as we do and that you will treasure this awesome experience forever!

Kathryn and Lynn are runners… Kathryn ran a half marathon for every month of 2012, that is how much she is into running!

So when her and Lynn came for their Signature SchlickArt Pampering Photo/Video Session we know we would be creating a shoot that would honor their amazing accomplishments! 

Last year these two wonderful women ran the Disney half marathon together. So we wanted to make their medals and the matching outfits Kathryn’s Mom gave them a focus point in this shoot.

By our studio here in Santa Clarita, there are some fantastic trails for running and cycling that Brian and I use a lot. So these trails seemed like the perfect spot to do our shoot with Kathryn and Lynn. We also decided to shoot in the golden hour so the vibrant colors of the scene would be accentuated. 

We loved creating this shoot, we all had so much fun out on the trails. It was the last photo set of the day with them, so we really went to town with it. It felt more like playing than work!

Kathryn and Lynn thanks for being such amazing clients. It was so wonderful working with you and creating this amazing day for you, we hope you cherish the memories forever.

There were a lot of different looks we where aiming to achieve with her photo session with us - Glam The Dress, Sisters, Runner Girl (still to come…) So for this set we wanted to do something a little more classic and timeless. Create some glamour shots of her that her husband, family and friends will cherish forever. Something timeless!

We definitely achieved this here… Kathryn looks so natural and beautiful in these shots.
